How to carry observations on children in Early years settings?
any resources or help you can give me on carrying out observations on children in early years settings
Presuming you are aware of the early learning goals / stepping stones etc you need to have 1 or 2 of the objectives in mind that you are observing. Then focus on a group of about 6 children. Maybe you have set up a specific activity in order for the children to meet the objective or maybe they are free playing. Take short and quick notes about whether or not each of the children meet your chosen objective.
